Cleanliness standards such as VDA19.1 and ISO16232 are the most widely used cleanliness standards in the automotive industry.
VDA19.1 is the cleanliness standard launched by the German Automobile Industry Federation, which elaborates the cleaning method and particle size analysis method of auto parts in detail, and points out the direction for the cleanliness detection of the automobile manufacturing industry.
ISO16232 international cleanliness standard, divided into 10 parts.
Part 1: Vocabulary
Part 2: Methods for extracting contaminants with mechanical stirring
Part 3: Methods of high-pressure water extraction of contaminants
Part 4: Methods for the extraction of contaminants by ultrasonic technology
Part 5 Methods for Extraction of Contaminants by Multifunctional Test Bench
Part 6: Gravimetric determination of particle mass
Part 7: Determination of particle size and count by microscopic analysis
Part 8: Determination of particle nature by microscopic analysis
Part 9: Determination of particle size and counts with automated extinction particle counters
Part 10: Presentation of results
